About this Website

This website / blog is maintained by the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.  It’s purpose is to educate professionals and promote thought / discussion about developmental and behavioral issues that come up in the practice of primary children’s healthcare.  It is part of our Primary Care Initiative (DBPCI), the aim of which is to empower and support the provision of quality care for childhood developmental and behavioral challenges inside the medical home.

Our intended audience is clinicians (physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants) providing primary care to children.  Other professionals (nurses, counselors, therapists, social workers, teachers) working in primary healthcare or school settings may also benefit.  Other audiences or professionals seeking information about our division and clinical services should visit our public website.  The material here is not meant to be a comprehensive treatment of any topic, and assumes a certain amount of prior knowledge and a professional perspective on the part of the reader.  It is not meant as a general information website for parents or the public.  Therefore, registration is required.

On-line comments and discussion among our members about specific articles / blog posts are welcomed.  The opinions expressed in posts and discussions are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the position of our division, hospital, or school.
